Meet Sara
I am very excited to run for the open seat on the Lexington School Committee. After spending many years volunteering in Lexington and with Lexington Public Schools in various roles, I am ready to channel that passion into serving the schools in a new capacity. With challenges such as student stress, rising enrollment, and equity and inclusion concerns facing us, Lexington needs a strong team working together with the Superintendent to continue making progress. Over the past three years, I have attended most of the School Committee meetings to ensure that I have a comprehensive view of all district issues, and am ready to jump right in and get to work.
Professional Experience
I was an educator prior to moving to Lexington, so I bring a strong understanding of how policy decisions can impact student learning, as well as insight into best practices and how to optimize children’s educational experiences. Additionally, I have pursued volunteer opportunities to expand my knowledge beyond teaching and learning to the operational side of the district.
